Getting started

Brecher Trainers requires Cobblemon. Trainers are native to Brecher Trainers; Radical Cobblemon Trainers is not required. Make sure you have Pokémon in your party before setting up gym trainers — spawners copy your team.

The in-game Trainer's Handbook covers the same topics as these pages. Get it from the mod's creative tab or craft it from a Book plus a Poké Ball (shapeless).

Your first gym

  1. Place a Gym Controller and a Gym Trainer Spawner.
  2. With the Gym Linker in LINK mode, crouch-right-click the spawner to add it to the linker's buffer.
  3. Right-click the controller to link the buffered blocks.
  4. As the spawner's owner, right-click the spawner to save your current party.
  5. Right-click it again to spawn the trainer.

The Gym Controller is crafted from Quartz, a Diamond, a Cobblemon Healing Machine, a PC, a red Pokédex and Polished Tumblestone — check the recipe book for the exact placement.

This creates a working practice gym. To register it in the league — so challengers earn League Points — the default registration rules require at least two regular or locked trainer spawners plus one Gym Leader Spawner, at least 12 saved Pokémon in total, an average level of 30, and at least 8 unique species. Servers can change these requirements in league.yaml. Once they are met, run /gym register [name].

Read about the other gym blocks and trainer spawners next.

For server operators

  1. Install the mod on the server and every client (see Requirements).
  2. Start the server once; it writes config/brecher_trainers/ with documented defaults.
  3. Single server: keep the default STANDALONE deployment mode. Proxy network: read Deployment modes first.
  4. Check the installation with /league info.
  5. Spawn a League Vendor with /vendor spawn and configure its offers in config/brecher_trainers/shop.yaml (see Commands).
  6. Optionally add trainer templates and gym badges through a datapack.
