Changelog
0.9.11 (2026-09-26)
- Fixed a server crash on startup when a Pokémon addon pack (such as Gravelmon) marks species as implemented while their base stats are still placeholder zeros. The automatic boss pool now leaves out any such species, because it cannot be fought as a boss, and logs one warning that lists them. Species with real stats, including addon species, still join the pool. Stock Cobblemon is unaffected.
- No configuration or world-data changes. Install the matching jar on the server and every client. NeoForge still needs Kotlin for Forge 5.10 or newer.
0.9.10 (2026-09-19)
- Tested against the Cobblemon 1.8.2 snapshot on both loaders. Supported Cobblemon versions stay 1.7.3 up to, but not including, 1.9.0.
- No gameplay, configuration or world-data changes.
0.9.9 (2026-09-18)
- Tested against Cobblemon 1.8.1 on both loaders. Supported Cobblemon versions stay 1.7.3 up to, but not including, 1.9.0.
- NeoForge now requires Kotlin for Forge 5.10 or newer, which Cobblemon 1.8.x needs. An outdated version is reported on NeoForge's dependency screen instead of crashing inside Cobblemon.
- No gameplay, configuration or world-data changes.
0.9.8 (2026-09-18)
- Added support for Cobblemon 1.8. The mod now accepts Cobblemon 1.7.3 up to, but not including, 1.9.0, and was tested against the official 1.8.0 release.
- Pokémon that Cobblemon 1.8 newly implements automatically join the boss pool (about 37 more species in the tested release), so new rifts can pick different bosses. Bosses of existing rifts stay the same.
- No configuration keys or world-data changes. Servers should review the larger boss pool before rolling out.
0.9.7 (2026-08-19)
- NeoForge configuration now lives in
config/brecher_hyperspace_rifts/. An existingconfig/brecher_hyperspace_rifts-common.tomlis moved there automatically on first launch with its contents unchanged. If both files exist, the one in the folder is used and a warning is logged. A failed move stops the server instead of silently falling back to defaults. - Fabric still uses
config/brecher_hyperspace_rifts.json. - No changes to configuration keys, defaults or gameplay.
0.9.6 (2026-08-01)
- The Convergence Altar can now be mined with an iron or better pickaxe and drops itself, like an enchanting table. A mined Altar keeps its cooldown when placed again.
- Mining an Altar during a live Convergence ends that Convergence safely instead of leaving it stuck.
- The Altar's hitbox now matches its model, and mobs no longer try to path through it.
- Version 0.9.5 was skipped; its changes are included here.
0.9.4 (2026-07-28)
Maintenance release focused on reliability.
- Logging out during a rift no longer leaves your battle registered with the shared boss HP pool.
- Players who join late or re-engage see the boss's full set of stat boosts, including boosts gained at earlier shield breaks.
- Between-stage healing from Facets now heals the Pokémon the trainer actually selected, and Facet stat boosts stay within the normal -6 to +6 range.
- A Poké Ball from another player stays blocked from a legendary reserved for a Seal owner.
- Disconnecting from a lobby now works like Leave: the founder role moves on or the lobby closes, and offline members no longer use up a join slot. A stale Start click no longer reports an internal error.
- A rift reopened after a lobby closes has at least one minute of life left.
- Players stranded in the raid world after a crash are now reliably sent home on login.
- The operator command that clears a region now aborts a live raid properly instead of removing the arena underneath it.
- If saving fails, between-stage and disconnect changes roll back instead of leaving inconsistent state. A failed Facet reroll no longer loses Rift Dust when the inventory is full.
- Remnant claims now agree that an expired Remnant cannot be used, regardless of the per-player limit.
- This is a drop-in upgrade from 0.9.3 with no configuration or world-data changes.
0.9.3 (2026-07-24)
- Rift Trophies have their finished 16-by-16 artwork.
- A newly awarded trophy records the date it was received, shown in its tooltip, for example
Received Jul 24, 2026. Trophies awarded before this version have no date line but remain valid. - No configuration or world-data changes.
0.9.2 (2026-07-24)
- An open Convergence Altar now shows the Legendary Pokémon and how many players have been admitted,
such as
Articuno • 2/6, above the join instruction. Convergences without a player cap show2/∞. - The count covers distinct players. Reconnecting does not raise it, and rejected joins do not change it.
- No configuration or world-data changes.
0.9.1 (2026-07-23)
- An active Convergence now shows the animated Chaotic portal above its Altar, with nearby
Convergence OpenandUse Charged Crystal to Join.messages. - Click the portal to join with any fully charged Legendary Crystal. The Crystal does not need to be attuned, and joining does not use up or discharge it. Invalid clicks give clear action-bar guidance and can never accidentally start a new Convergence.
- The Altar has a new model and texture.
- Administrative diagnostic commands are now registered on every server but only usable at permission level 4.
- Fixed a NeoForge startup problem related to the rift-world damage rules.
- No configuration or world-data changes.
0.9.0 (2026-07-22)
First release.
- Rifts in five tiers (Fading, Stable, Unstable, Volatile, Chaotic) with previews, party assembly, multi-stage fights, custom arenas, a shared boss HP pool, segmented shields, anomalies, Cheers and between-stage Retreat or Push votes.
- A Facet system with 38 entries that give the party utility, combat, planning, economy and risk-and-reward effects.
- Rewards: Rift Dust, Rift Shards, Apex Tokens, Cobblemon bonus loot, safe handling of full inventories and offline players, and a chance at a cosmetic Rift Trophy on capstone victories.
- The legendary path: craft and charge Legendary Crystals, attune them at a Legendary Remnant, summon a Convergence at an Altar, and seal the Weakened Legendary in a normal Cobblemon catch battle.
- Resonator, Crystal Pouch and Omen items, operator commands and configuration, privacy-safe local encounter statistics, and the in-game guide Brecher's Rifts.
- For NeoForge and Fabric on Minecraft 1.21.1 with Cobblemon 1.7.3 up to, but not including, 1.8.0. Install the mod on the server and every client.
- Incursions in progress do not resume after a server restart; participants receive consolation rewards.
